I thought you need it emission test every 2 years before and someone told me it changed. So far so good , however my dad received a requirement for emission test on his 2011 dodge journey ??? , am I missing something here?
He bought it last year and the car is only 3 years old

the main reason for my question is that I really want to install the AA headers for my 328 but I m pretty sure I wont be able to pass emission test with it but if I dont need to do until my car is 7 years old then I can do it and no worry about it

Yea if your car is less than 7 years old you don't have to do it unless you sell it. My car didn't require it until the 7 year mark.

thats what I thought. But i m wondering why my dad received a letter stating he had to get it done. He said they did not hook up the sniffer , just the computer to scan the car. He bought the car last year
