Open to any. Thanks!
Welcome. What's your main goal with the exhaust? More power? Better sound?

Most go the BMW Performance Exhaust route (aka BMW PE). I just put this on my 2008 328xi and while the sound is nice, there is no performance gains in my setup (stock downpipes to BMW PE catback).

There have been a few used kicking around the forums in the $650 range. I picked up mine new through eBay seller bmwofcajon for $908 shipped.

Would I do it again? Probably. The inside cabin of my E90 keeps a lot of the exhaust note out of the car which I was a little disappointed about in the end. I would rather have upgraded my suspension first had I realized how little I would get to hear the exhaust while driving.

For true aftermarket options, I see most folks using Remus or Eisenmann (and some talk of Active Autowerke).

Thanks for the welcome!
At the moment, my goal is for a better sound.
I am not used to having a quiet car (just got my e92).
So my focus is to get a good exhaust set up then work on suspension, etc.
I'm leaning towards the PE set up.
Do you by any chance have a video of yours?

Excellent! Glad you made it to the forums!

I don't have video, but I can make a quick one of the current exhaust. I only have about 800 miles on it, so it's still in the break-in stage as I understand (more quiet, but I think it's opened up).

Again, my e90 is very sound proof, so I don't get the same level of enjoyment out of the BMW PE as I expected compared to my Audi S4 V8. But as long as you're going for noise over power, you're in the right area.

I'll try and grab some video of the revs later tonight or tomorrow for you. I'm an N51 engine, so I think that adds more restrictive cats to the whole mix.

That sounds great!
Yeah, I might definitely go for the PE then.

will 100% fit to E90 and E91, i had it installed on my E90 328i without any problems, the only exhaust tip will be 2" longer then stock, which makes PE exhaust more visible.
All clamp includes, you don`t need anything, just go to good muffler shop to install it.

The shipping probably won't be more than $150 if you do it via Greyhound. I'd be interested for $650 shipped, if you changed your mind.
