How long does it take ??

Hey guys, my first post here,

I ordered a new 328i coupe on April 3, 2008. The dealer hasn't given me a delivery date yet but has hinted at sometime in June. The car is a 328i with auto, sunroof, nav package (i-drive), and PDC. Does anyone know what the usual wait period is for this car. BTW not sure if this makes a difference but I am in Toronto

Canada can change things. In the US you have a build date/production number by now and an estimated delivery date.

I ordered march twenty something and got a production date today it's gonna be a 24/june production

ask your CA for the VIN then you can see if its allready in production or not?

Looks like you are from Canada as well... allotments and all that play a big role. In the US each dealer is alloted build slots to build cars in, a certain number per model per month, smaller dealers have less allotment and if they sell out for some months the customer must wait until a slot is available,

there was a snowstorm here that day. anyways it's been 9 1/2 weeks now. They told me the delivery was for early May. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and they told me it was already on the ship.

Im waiting... waiting

I wonder if theres anyone who had to wait more than 10 weeks...

Order submitted last Tuesday. Have a production number, and just called the 800 number to learn that I am tentatively scheduled for production in week 23, which would be the first week of June.

Ouch... that seems like a looooong time away. I'm wondering if my dealer (Passport here in DC area) was out of its allocation spots for May?
