You are paying a total of $24000 to use a 44000 car for 3 years and then walk away from it. Including interest on the money. How little would you feel is fair? The car will be worth only in the mid 20s at best used 3 years old and someone will have to process, recondition, warranty and sell it at the end and hopefully make a profit. In this day and age even getting a lease is worth something, go for it.

I recommend that you make sure you understand how your lease is being calculated and have negotiated the 3 negotiable points of a BMW lease (Selling price (including doc fee), money factor markup, and acquisition fee markup) to the best of your ability.

Understanding where your money is going is the best place to start, ask the dealer for a complete breakdown of the lease (Selling price, fees, money factor, residual %, etc.) and post back here. At that point you will know (or be able to find out) if your lease is a good deal.
