Please review my logs
ok - Cobb was very helpful today, apparently, we can't run a firmware update on a USB3 port, when i put the AP on an old macbook air - it updated and worked fine.
So yesterday I got the car back from the dealer after inspection and some brake work that was done - i've been driving it without the Cobb for a couple of weeks prior to set all the adaptations up before I gave it to them. For the last couple of days i was given an F30 328 as a loaner, it was much "softer" and a little floaty compared to my e93 335 sport but definitely bigger inside and more comfortable. it was the luxury line. Anyway my initial impression when i got my car back was that it felt a little "choked up" like the throttle response wasn't as crisp on the first %30 of the peddle as i remember. after driving for a while I decided it's probably because I remember the car with the Cobb installed (even though it hasn't been for 2 weeks). I installed it and it does add a tremendous amount of power but it still feels like the car is somehow heavier than i remember and not as peppy in the first %30 of the peddle as it used to be. like the turbo lag has somehow increased if that makes any sense to anyone. Can anyone please review my logs and let me know if there's anything peculiar? I'm on stage 1 aggressive - 93 octane, it was 79 degrees out , humid but dry, no other engine mods are installed, traction control is fully off. The spark plugs are about 10k old. to my knowledge neither coils or injectors have been replaced. recalls were done a few years ago before I bought the car. It's a MY09 335i convertible with sport package, mileage is now at around 60k. Logs are uploaded here: http://www.datazap.me/u/bluebimmer Please take a look and give me some feedback! Any input much appreciated!! |

Charge Pipe for COBB fmic
Does the COBB fmic outlet piping replace enough of the stock charge pipe to order the short ER charge pipe or do I need the long one? I have a 2009 n54.

I'm on my ipad and can't search but read the past few pages... have there been any updates to the AP(v2) firmware or maps within the past 2 months? I haven't plugged anything in or done any updates.

Tiny firmware revisions I think. No map changes that I know of.

I wish it was that fast. Pro tune to OTS is like 10 min.

I think so, AP update and AP Manager update. No MAP update.

I strongly doubt, in fact I can almost guarantee you did not boost 21.x PSI for any sustained period of time on a Stg1 map. If it was right after you let off the throttle, that’s just a boost spike as it nothing to worry about. Or perhaps you’re looking at atmospheric boost, which already starts at a base of 14.7PSI. Post up a log, but I would be absolutely shocked if that much boost was actually being pushed mid-range.

If I am removing a JB3 from the car would it be a good idea to drive a day or two without the JB3 before I connect the CobbAP v3 or should I just hook it up right away?

I don't even have v3 yet and I want it. If you done any logging having three gauges on one screen is awesome.

The differences between the V2 and V3 are essentially cosmetic. A few of them are:
-Bigger, better layed out screen and more user friendly navigation. -Displaying up to 6 logging channels at once. -A much more modern look with user customizable face plates Whether it's worth it or not is up to you. It's like asking yourself if you really need the latest and greatest Iphone/Android or if the one you have will do. |

Quick Question Been running Stage 2 (Stg2+FMIC ST Aggrssv IJE0S v402
Stock Throttle) for over couple of months and have been on track with it for (4) 30 min sessions. My temps hit 285 at one point and stayed around 280, but no limp mode detected. I heard that if the engine oil temps hit ~270 the car goes into limp mode. Does this OTS MAP eliminate limp mode or is the limp mode temp raised to something higher? My car is 2008 e92 manual gearbox, and ya i have stock oil cooler as well.
