hr springs on e92 am confused

I have done a lot of research rgd springs on various bmw forums for my 08 335 e92.

Seems like every one or a majority of people are not happy with HR springs on the stock sport suspension but people still choose to put them on their car.

I know they can be had for $150 used plus labor, but why install a product that has mediocre reviews???

Note- I am only quoting the results from e92 owners installing HR Springs either Sport or Race

Well right off the bat the stock shocks and struts were not designed for aftermarket springs. Using aftermarket srpings (any brand) will cause quicker wear and tear on your suspension. And seriously why the hell would you go cheap on one of the most important aspects of your car, the suspension system.

Either go with a H&R cup kit, Eibach pro system kit, or some good coilovers.

People keep doing it because they are cheap, simple as that. Everyone on here tells them they need to upgrade their shocks at the same time and then they don't listen. The stock suspension can't handle the lower and stiffer H&R spring. You MUST upgrade your shocks when you upgrade your springs, simple as that.

H&R Springs are a good option but I recommend installing them with aftermarket shocks. The OE shocks, as mentioned above, are not designed for the stiffer spring rate so you will need to replace them sooner rather than later.

You will end up spending more on labor charges by doing the springs and shocks separately than altogether. I recommend a matched spring and shock combo like H&R Cup Kit.
