Possible AMS FMIC Group buy

Now that we have our testers picked and we have cores under two weeks away I wanted to see what interest there would be for a group buy on the Cores. Many of you have been very patient and we would like to reward you for that patience.

We will have more hard data for you soon, but I know our IC's work and when put up again other companies in the many cars we work on the always come out on top.

With that in mind We would offer the first 20 units at $799.95. Retail is going to be $899.95

if you are interested please post here in the following format.

1. john doe
2. jane doe
3. etc

You can use your screen names if you choose not to post your full name.

The core requires very little trimming, less than even a helix. has a massive 3" inlet and outlet pipe. Incredibly well designed thin wall cast aluminum end tanks. weighs in MUCH lighter than a helix core. Comes complete with special couplers to bolt to the factory piping. Is 100% reversible. And uses the same top quality cores we have fitted on cars making well over 1000 whp. We even incorporate Tabs to keep the fan shroud snug to the intercooler core

Specifications:

Weigth: 17.6 lbs
Dimensions: 20 x 6 x 6
IAT and backpressure testing in progress now.

Stock Core = 4.9375” Tall x 20” Wide x 4.75” Thick
AMS Core = 5.8125” Tall x 20” Wide x 6” Thick

Stock Face Area = 98.75 in^2
AMS Face Area = 116.25 in^2
AMS has increase of 17.7% in Front Usable face Area over stock

Stock Volume = 469.063 in^3
AMS Volume = 699.5 in ^3
AMS has increase of 49.1% in Volume over Stock

Here are some pics:

The stenciled logo is a no cost option. It is completely up to you.

Edit, dyno chart added:

As promised here is the that dyno chart I talked about.

This a 2007 335i Coupe 6MT.
AR Design Catted Downpipes
Stock Midpipe with stock secondary Cats
Bastuck Exhaust
STOCK TUNE...no piggyback or reflash done
Boost 9.5lbs

As you can see even with NO tuning on a relatively stock car the FMIC makes a huge difference:

This is definitely the best looking FMIC yet! Love the clean casting and smooth flow pattern of the end tanks... 3" inlet is HUGE.

I had it deleted because it was searching for testers. Also all questions in that thread were answered.

Will you guys not quote his entire post to say "add me" please. It's quite annoying and adds lots of extra, unneeded fluff.

For a price matched to Helix and casted ends from the pictures, it sounds like a great deal. I'm in.

Too bad you already had 5 testers, I would love to do a review, datalogging, dyno, etc. in the hot humid FL.

ya Alabama summers can be BRUTAL both heat and humidity. Driving around in a sauna is a great way to test an IC...

Just curious to see actual numbers of how this is so much lighter than Helix and how well it performs with both IAT's and boost loss.

135 should fit just fine. The 20 are being made now and should be ready to ship in just a hair over two weeks.

I will go ahead and compile the list but if you guy can please just copy the list and add your name to the end of it.
