Another dead Si

Getting sick of seeing, sick or dead 320Si's at work now. The lads at work are ripping me to bits for buying one, as mine has now developed a rather deep knock when the throttle is blipped. Mine has done 29k on 3 engines.

I work at my local BMW dealer as a technician, Mine is not dead, but to say we only ever sold 1 we're getting quite a collection of broken ones in the compound.

Not good news. Sounds like it's just a matter of time before it goes and where will BMW leave you if this happens. They surely must be aware of all these problems and an extended warranty is a must. However resale value will be heavily affected by this.

Time to bail?

I sold my Si last year, but it had done nearly 40k miles on one engine and never had a fault with it
