Is it ok to leave a USB stick plugged in all the time?

I noticed even when I turn off the car, the USB stick's light still keeps blinking/is lit, meaning it's still getting electricity to it. I assume any draw would be miniscule, but does everyone leave theirs just plugged in all the time, or is it best to unplug it overnight each night?

Of course, I did STFA, but search of titles didn't show anything on this...

the power cuts off when the car is in sleep mode. try this, put the arm rest up with your usb inserted. (so that you see the light blinking). give your car for about 5-10 min and you'll see that the light is now turned off. now you open your door and it'll start blinking again. so yeah! there's your answer.

How about iPods?

I got the proper iPod adapter that the stealship sells (the bs one for an arm and a leg) and I've noticed that it not only doesn't charge the iPod, but it's also always dead. lol

It's ok to leave your USB stick/iPod/harddrive plugged in all the time. As ChaneRZ said, the car cuts off power ~10mins after you turn it off.

I tested it even, and left the armrest lid up. When it's "connected", the light on the stick is flashing constantly. When I walked up to the car, and hadn't unlocked it yet, the light was off on the stick / power was not getting to it.
