nice Gintani.
Craven have you thought about putt'n the 330 stage 3 manifold on the 328/325 with the upcoming flash for the 330? Theoretically, it'll be for guys with 328/325 to do a stage 2 type of upgrade. But before we jump the gun, results first.

Is it like the VOLO chip scam? Here is a link for it:
http://yhst-19807630266082.stores.yahoo.net/ Basically a device that retails for $90 and wires in to your OBDII port. Has a red and green light. It's been proven to be a scam. Mike |

Oh OK, it just sounded really similar. Here is an install video for the VOLO "chip" scam.
Of course the only way to tune via the OBDII is to reprogram the ECU. That requires specialized flash equipment like flash tuners use, as well a power stabilizer, etc. The tuner must download your VIN specific file, modify it, and upload it. Takes an hour or two. Mike |

Wow, with a product like the Volo VP12 and it's MINIMUM 10HP gain, I don't know why anyone would do anything else...

A programmer like for instance superchips, which just plugs into the obo port flashes the ecu then you unplug it and are on your way would be better.
That way you could have 3 maps on the programmer and just flash the one you want. Including stock. This one is for a F150 sells for about 300. I don't see this being a penny over 500 and even that is pushing it. A real deal tune would be nice, not all this PBX stuff Im not 100 percent confident in. http://gopowerhungry.com/ offers gryphon, another programmer, which mounts on your dash via a pod (or not if you don't want but you don't get the pretty stats!!) and plugs into your obo port, allows you to select maps on the fly, recently released CTS color touch screen programmer, its basicly rebranded edge http://www.edgeproducts.com/ hardware, and gopowerhungry is the tuner, you can have custom tunes made for 30 dollars each (via email filling out a form with ALL your mods) in additon to the base tunes already included on the programmer. That sells for about 600. Last edited by RemovedUser; 05-06-2010 at 04:50 PM.. |

The more I read the more it sounds like a flash tune with an at-home loader. Warranty implications aside you can make good power with a flash tune if its done right. Flash tunes have a hard time remapping the throttle though. So in theory one might use the PBX performance tuning off, throttle mapping on, if they wanted to run with another performance tune.

I'm confused. Doesn't Gintani already have a flash tune for the N52s? Is this basically a user programmable version of this: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374034

I'm getting excited can't wait to see what comes of this and some numbers...
It would be cool to combine PBX, this and the speed limiter fix, oh the possibilities... |
