How to check DME Version?

How does one check their DME Version? I ask because I recently ordered a JB4 and have read things here and there on how the version affects compatibility/performance of the Jb. My car is a 2011 e92 335i with a build date of 09/2010.

Wondering the same thing actually. Been thinking about getting a COBB but I'd like to know if I have to update my DME first. In nearly the same situation as you, 2011 with a build date of 10/10.

Yeah I was wondering also. Couldn't wait and pulled the trigger on a COBB. At work and I'll be installing on my lunch break. Wish me luck

Oh wow that sucks. Try and get your dealer to upgrade it. Say it idles rough and has long start cranks. I'm sure you can do a quick search and see what others have said.
