Ok are there any first batch guys making 5hundy on the dyno? And will a second batch fully optioned turbo make a legit Daliy driven 500 hp or is it glory run hp.. 500 hp is a goal of mine if I don't have to go stg3 it would be nice .

I realize the stock frame limits it sound like you may a have pushed them a bit.

And if you sell the 50 before bimmerfest price is still good just long wait?
If we sell out of all the sets we are going to builds his batch, then we will just order more cores and build more. We would never turn anyone away.

Yep, they've already tuned at least 2 sets of the early stage 2s. One remotely(Dzenno) and one in person(Jake.)

Obviously the performance aspect is evident, very nice looking. But on the cosmetic side, do these turbos still have wastegate rattle?

There are two things holding me back from upgrading to stage 2's.

1) Wedding in January
2) 6AT

Will the 6AT hold this power (450-500 whp) with the Alpina flash without any issues?

It's the torque that's going to kill your transmission. It's really a matter of your driving style and tune. Some tuners ramp down boost between shirts which will increase longevity but sacrifice some performance.

Also this is an enthusiast forum, why do so many of you own autos??!!

Honestly, I test drove the car I bought with no intentions of buying it and fell in love. This is the first AT car that I have owned over 14 years of driving. I do regret not getting a manual transmission occasionally but the paddles are fun and it is a good tranny. My car is in manual mode 99% of the time with the 1% being while the oil is warming up.

No rattle, no smoke, no nothing. Just waiting, ha.

Great news actually. Just called GIAC and she is on the dyno as I write this. Hopefully I will have some information shortly. WOOT WOOT!!!

Uh oh, so when you say waiting, you mean there's a ton of turbo lag, I knew it!

Hopefully not too much. I told GIAC I wanted a power curve that sacrifices max power for a linear curve that pulls through redline and doesn't fall on its face. Really looking forward to the results!

Stage 2 Turbos of any brand have no noticeable lag Vs a stock set of turbos. The housing size dictates spool, a bigger wheel in the stock housing is not going to effect spool much at all. Tuning can shift your power curve around for what kind of driving you want to do.

I haven't heard that to be the case. I haven't driven RBs or these, but many do say that the transient response is worse (but not bad).

You have higher mass with a bigger wheel, the same exhaust energy is going to have to take a little longer to get them spinning, but it's very minimal, I have installed 2 sets of stage 2's and driven the car before and after. I couldn't feel any noticeable difference.

Have to agree...no lag here with RB'S especially with the new JB4 firmware. I have to assume it would be about the same with these...I am very interested....trying to decide between stage 2 and stage 3.

Well because getting a MT is sometimes a lesson in patience or futility. You pick which one. I waited months to find a MT with the sport package. I got tired of waiting and bought a sport package AT and swapped the paddles for the DCT paddles.

Now out of all the mods I've done; that was the best.
Manual mode and a set of DCT paddles is not just a good thing, it makes the cr feel like a real enthusiast car.

My last two cars were M3's with MT. I don't miss the MT in my commute and when I decide to play I have the paddles and manual mode.

Best of both worlds. Beside the ZF in the 335 is a nice box. Full lockup so it engine brakes like a MT.
