Did this resolve your problem? I have been getting solenoid codes for about 2 years. I want to do this....

I didn't really have problems. Just an unusual idle sometimes which from what I researched is normal. My RPMS don't move, it just feels like the car has a minor miss sometimes.

Anyway, if you're getting codes definitely do this DIY. It's free and will help you narrow down the problem especially if you swap the intake to the exhaust solenoid and see if the code moves.
