1) smoker's kit (europe) - ordered smoker's delete, then found out you lose the power outlet and the cover and are left with just a hole - luckily the dealer screwed up and I ended up getting the smoker's kit and the things that come with it
2) sometimes I think I should have got a 325 or 330 - however to be honest, I've never felt the need for more speed than the 320d offers (call me boring)
3) occassionally I think space grey would have been the better choice

In the end I got almost every option I wasn't sure about, really happy to have got the following, that I almost chose not to:

1) idrive - I was trying to save some cash, this ended up being my favorite part of the car
2) folding mirrors - never realized how tight some parking spots are in europe
3) comfort access - life is better without having to fish through your pockets

  1. I got the 328xi Automatic- should have got the 335xi Manual.
  2. 6fl Ipod system
  3. Xenon headlights.

Other than that I absolutely love the car. But I'll never skimp again.
1) Buick Roadmaster portholes. The dealership said they had magnetic ones but my fenders are poly so they couldn't put them on unless they used adhesive. I wanted to be able to put them on and take them off as I pleased.

Your #1 is the very essence of the vehicle itself! You can take comfort in knowing you've got more power than is needed in many situations (although more is better), and i.e. paid far less for the vehicle (money in the bank).

Xenons was a must have for me, half out of curiousity. When I'd get passed on the highway, I'd see a car with xenons really lighting up the lane. I wanted to see how that was for myself.

- M3 Kit
- The colour combo I really wanted (which was Space grey with either Beige or Red leather - but would have had to wait another 6 months for it)

I would have to shell out another $4k for registration etc..the lease payment for 12kmiles/36mo. came out to $1100/mo...the cars were quoted as demos and that's how they were able to pull of this deal- the cars had less than 25miles on them though...great deal! If you can find an 07 M6 Coupe on a dealer's lot I'm sure you can still pull this off.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the details, that sure is tempting!!!

Yea it's so good a deal that I'm searching for an Interlagos Blue M6 and I think I'm going to put up my E92 335i on swapalease.com. Hopefully I can get outta my lease and get into the ///M. If anyone knows of an 07 Interlagos Blue M6 Coupe let me know! PM me....

That's amazing news? M5's and 6's can't sell. There were 94k listed M5's at my dealership's lot with 85k price tags hanging from the mirror. I'm sure they would have gone another 3-5k lower.

Yea it's happening all over the place- John do you know of any M5/M6s that are still that cheap? I've been searching and I can't find anymore...if you do know I'm more than interested.

  1. Comfort Access
  2. Bluetooth
  3. Manual - At the time it was the only car for me and my wife and it had to be auto, she now has her own car so the next one will be manual

I needed a car immediately and for me CA and Bluetooth were both nice to have and I got my first choice colour combo (monaco blue, black leather, alu trim).

I got the car on a 3 year lease and I wish I'd two things differently at the start (now only 1 year left), but I won't do it now due to the cost and only having the benefit for 1 year
  1. 18" summer rims - I wish I bought some aftermarket 18" rims with summer rubber and taken the 17" OEM rims and used them for my winter setup rather than buying another set of 17" rims with winter tires for winter.
  2. Tints - I wish I'd got the windows tinted from day 1 since it gets really hot inside the car in Summer, although I may do this now since I have 1.5 summers left in the car.
