Salvage car, how bad is it?

Ok, so I purchased this 07 335 Xi with damage to the right side. The wheel took most of the damage as seen in the pictures and I would like to know your opinion. I'll be taking it to a shop next week to assess the damage but since I'm anxious I guess I'll ask you guys. How bad is it?

Air bags deployed. Already purchased. I'm just hoping there isn't any frame damage. Keeping my fingers crossed. My alternative would be to piece the car out. :-(

Frame damage isn't a big deal like it use to be. Some guy hit me head on in a similar fashion in the front right tire. Damage looked similar and the bill was close to $20k. Reason why, that axle smashed the transmission, differential and transfer case all had possibility of damage. The suspension components are cheap relatively speaking but those powertrain parts may cause you a pretty penny. And since there is no real way of knowing it will be a labor intensive fix.

I hope you got a good deal on that. wheel looks pushed really far back, so you're going to end up rebuilding the entire suspension on that side, and probably still end up doing transfer case work. the problem is, like the poster above mentioned, all of the awd stuff is kind of hard/labor intensive to get to and replace, and the parts are costly.

Visually looks like a complete rebuild of the suspension on that side. Unfortunately the transfer case and front diff are most likely messed up pretty bad so you would have to by new ones most likely or rebuild and hope there aren't any other problems in them that the rebuilder didnt notice.

It doesn’t look that bad, trust me I have fixed worst cars, but when I buy salvage cars I try to avoid front hits, because you never know how much damage can cause, a front impact
