Question Downpipes clamps break

In the past 2-3 weeks I heard a weird rattling noise around my downpipes.
Aside from my "loose" catalytic converters inside my UR catted downpipes; I found a clamp on my downpipe broken, Part number: 18307553602.
I've never seen something like this before.
Is this normal?

no that is not normal. Just buy one and replace it i was going to say your downpipes might be rattling against something but it seems thats not the case. Do you have a pic?

This is the first I have heard anyone breaking a turbo clamp. Who ever installed the dps must have really butchered the clamps for them to break

the "pivot" point of the clamp is a very thin cheap strip of metal, if they were bent too many times, or forced wrong it is very possible for it to break.

good thing tho, its an easy fix and cheaper then getting your dps removed, then fixed, then reinstalled! i say congrats man.

Question

Thanks for the pointer, Kevin.
What's the easiest way to replace it?
Do I have to follow the same step as removing the downpipes?
Removing the downpipes were very cumbersome at best. Thank You

if you leave the dp bolted up to the exhaust, you may be able to get away with just taking the old broken one off, and slipping the new one in there and tightening it up without the dp sliding out of the turbo at all, that would be the way i would try, if not, your gonna have to go thru the same process as install, and unbolt the exhaust to dp's, ect.

Question

I already took the broken one off, kind of painful.
To slip a new one, I have to "bend" and wiggle the new clamp to fit it in.
Bending and wiggling it eventually will break it, won't it?

no absolutely not, try to get the clamp around the dp down where you can get it on easily, then slide it up the dp near the turbo, "clock" the bolt hole in the right position, and spread it around the dp/turbo flange.
