Umm...beer?

Two Questions for Y'all:
1. Where are the majority of the people staying in Vancouver?
2. Anyone know of any good places to have dinner on friday night?

I'm not sure, but I might be the only one staying at a hotel on Friday night. I'm staying here (strickly because of covered parking): http://www.hotels.com/property.do?CO...=1178072757119

Hey Dustin - will you be loading up 1.45 during the install?

And no, this is not version 2. Just an update/refinement of the current maps. As well as a lower boost map that a couple people have requested.

Cheers,

I'd love to, but my wife is already giving me all of Saturday off for the dyno day -- asking for Friday night as well would be, well, problematic .

Are you needing any local transport, or have you got that covered?

I would in a heartbeat, it would have been fun to pick your brain, however I'll be coming down with my wife, and having dinner with my folks.

Talking Final schedule

Here's the final schedule, folks ! We might have domer88 drop by if he gets his car in time (or even not). A "*" means Dustin is bringing your PROcede with him.

Morning:
09:00 jonm42
10:00 Fubarsky*
11:00 Tom DeArmond*
12:00 normtrum

Afternoon:
1:00 murph54*
2:00
3:00
4:00
5:00 edgarj (dyno only)

What I want to know is what we do between 2-5? Drink beer? (Except Dustin, of course! )

Note that I am still waiting on final costing from the dyno shop and will post as soon as I have the numbers.

Dustin - 2 more questions (sorry dude):
1. Will you be running our cars on the dyno? I have step and I know there's a "method".

2. We can't seem to find any 93 octane, I think we're all on 92. It that cool? Should we be using something like "nos octane boost" for street use?

It depends from shop to shop. Sometimes they will allow me to run it, other times they will want to run it themselves. Either Way it will be dynoed properly.

92 oct is fine. No need for NOS octane booster.

I don't know what all is involved in that update, but my suggestion would be to remove it when you go to the dealership if you are worried about warranty issues. Otherwise, leave it in.

I talked to Fast Specialties today about gas, they apparently have two 55 gallon drums of 103 race octane called "street blaze". I was thinking about coming in on empty and putting 10 or 15 gallons in. Dustin, do you think this would ba a good/bad idea? It's not like I'll be running this gas all the time, I don't know where to get it in the Seattle area.

price per gallon = $10.50 as of today; subject to change.

Dustin- I don't think I can do dinner either. The weather should be ok Friday. Try Mcminimin's Pub it looks out over the Columbia river and the beer is locally crafted. It is located just east of town on SR15. Then hit "Club 205" if interested in adult ent.. Just be good and sober by AM.

Bottom line

Numbers are in:
1) the 5 people (currently) getting installed are splitting travel costs, so that works out to $100 ea.
2) We will be getting the shop @ $110/hr. (vs. $750 for the day), so that will be (most likely) $110 ea. -- Ron says that this is slightly flexible, depending on how the day goes.

Bottom line at the moment is $210 for everyone but edgarj, who gets away with $110. Note that I put a $375 deposit down (dyno side of things), so we can work the math as the day goes on.

Ron also noted that we will probably have a few drop-ins, folks curious about Vishnu and the like. One guy is coming in from Spokane in a car he's picking up Friday :rocks: !

Dustin, you might want to bring more than 1 spare!

See y'all soon!

I cleared up my Sat afternoon schedule & can come in at 2-3pm if that helps tighten the agenda.

Dustin-

My Eisenmann Race cat-back exhaust is a week+ away but I was wondering if it would be possible to load the newest stage1 map before the exhaust is installed (hopefully no longer than 2 weeks). Is it bad for the car to run stage1 with stock exhaust, even short term? If it's a problem, I'll just get you to load 1.45 (still running 1.20).
