LOL no disbelief my friend just common sense

Dont get me wrong love the 335d and it's a very quick car I just think comparing a £40k diesel with over £100k worth of supercars is just pushing it a little far.

Fair enough mate but lets be honest how hard is it to race someone in a straight line.

Gets his coats and runs towards the exit

I too have raced faster machinery. I Raced a f430 spider once and stayed with him and i could hear he wasa nailing it? I dont understand why he didnt pull away.

Had fun with a C4S and was quicker than that also.

Good luck in the future. Do you still have the Rad?
No way would you keep up with a 430 just not going to happen, even if it had a bad driver.

Im not saying the 335d is a bad/slow car but the 430 is on another level...

(so 3 more months pay o top of the 5 months and redundancy (statutory) pay.

if it cost me another £10k i am committed to see them in the dock or paying more than they have offered..... I don't believe in forgive and forget, or turn the other cheek. LOL
Keep it up Dario, persistence pays

I went through it in Jan this year.
Left in Feb and after a well fought battle got my settlement in March

Sounds to me like you're not far off a result yourself too, have you filed your case with ACAS yet?

ok, finally just to clarify one point. I was surprised that the old diesel held its ground so well against a (as you put it) £100k super car. i did not go out to challenge him to pink slips, i just happened to be behind him at the right time when clearly he decided to not let me pass him and it was fun with a capital F. nothing more nothing less.

as for cost vs power, my Radical SR3 with today is valued at probably less than £23k humbles super car and hyper cars on track on a regular basis

and i can assure you that they are trying LOL

Hmmm, my basic Boxster will keep up with a 335d without too much effort so the GT3 driver must have been a right muppet (or it was a tarted up Beetle)

On the job side, I took redundancy in June (with a nice fat cheque) and decided to go contracting, I'm in IT. I landed my first job in August which finishes in at the end of the month and I start my second job in December which is for a year.

I've more than doubled my original salary and I'm really happy with the decision I made. Ultimately I want to be in a position where I no longer need to work and any money I make gets invested or buys toys and trips.

So if my experience is anything to go by, I would say the world is your oyster and anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Good luck and remember to enjoy yourself along the way.

Dario, sorry to hear of your recent redundancy - i think i would speak for all forum members in wishing you all the best for the future. Its quite depressing to see the effect of the current climate in such personal terms......i am sure things will turn out for the best-
One of Rome's leading intellectual figures, Lucius Annaeus Seneca, once said, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”.

Strangely its not going back now! even though the lease is mine and they pay, i want to send it back early and invoke the "early termination insurance" and the lease company are happy with that, the business who will be paying for it for the next 3 months whilst i'm on garden leave are saying i can't as they wont pay the excess until my contract terminates....... fine, it they don't want to take the saving...... then i'll keep using it. no sense really, but i suppose its a reflection of the poor relations that exist between me and them.
