I can't tell if you have resonators right before the tips but you can put two there also. Here's the second pair on my car

Thanks a lot! I've thought about an aftermarket trunk. But for the convertible I think the vorsteiner and duke dynamics trunks are the only options. I wish there was a challenge style trunk for the E93.

I'm going to look into some options. I still have the stock 2nd cats and the stock resonator. The resonator is about a foot in front of the y-pipe. I'll update with what I end up doing. The sound is amazing but the drone is ridiculous in the small RPM range.

The new rear looks perfect! Any plans on making a move to a 335i afterwards and take along some of the great parts from your 328?

I appreciate the kind words! Yes finally back to better than normal lol. I like this diffuser a lot more than the first one I had. Thanks.

Thanks! When I was rear ended I strongly considered making the jump to a 335 then (a couple months ago and over 9k in damages), but decided I want to keep this car for a while. The car was originally my dad's that I've bought off him and I know it was driven well. Maybe in a couple years I'll hop into an N55, but my goal is to save up for an E90/E92 M. It'll depend on how the two different cars are valued and holding up at the point I'm ready to upgrade.

While I'd love some more torque, my 328 sure has been great to me!

lol thanks a lot. I enjoy the sound quite a bit, I just hope the drone subsides a little. I can't imagine spending 1k for the performance exhaust that sounds raspier/ricey compared to the MD (at least on the N52) IMO

Good luck! You will love it, if your muffler is replaced with piping alone (and not another muffler) you should have the pops and burbles. Is your car automatic? Mine doesn't burble in D mode, but does in DS or M mode.

Also, I'm not exactly sure how you plan to delete the muffler, and run a dual exhaust without having a Y pipe. You need a Y to turn the single pipe into a dual exhaust. Unless you are adding a different muffler and running two pipes from it to the tips. If that is the case I can't say if you will have the burbles or not

De-badging the car to make people think it's a 335i is sad lol.

I've got a 325i and I've done a quad exhaust setup also - haven't debadged it to trick people though.

Sounds & looks good though mate.

Where did I say that I did that to trick people? I debadged well before I did the exhaust conversion.

The 4 inch tips are pretty popular with performance diffusers. They don't look too big at all to me.

I would have gone 3.5 if I had a less aggressive diffuser.

Mine is manual...and i was talk about the y-pipe directly after the resonator

Ok bro, I never once try to trick people into thinking I have a 335, in fact the first thing I tell them when I get a compliment on my exhaust sound is that it's a 328. There are plenty of 328 owners here with dual exhaust and none of us are trying to fake it as a 335.

Right now I'm trying to help out the gentleman posting above you who bumped this thread asking about how to do this because that's what this forum is about. Ok cuzzy?

I'm sure your manual would have burbles. I guess I am confused then, how do you plan to take the single pipe after the resonator and make it into a dual exhaust? You need the y pipe do you not?
