Here's a link to a TON of pics!

My alpine white E92 M3 was parked in the OEMconcept tent.

Here is a video I took of some e30 m3 drifting at the show...

I can respect people's opinions, but its sometimes hard trying to understand them. The guy puts OEM M3 guards on his car and people get upset because in the absence of anything else, he put on the only badge that he could find there. Please..!! I guess it would of looked much, much better leaving just a hole. Real nice. You need to get up pretty close to those side repeaters to even realise what was written on there.

With a used M3 in Australia costing $125K USD, I certainly think the money spent is well worth it. I wonder what would get the most attention on the street? No, no don't tell me I think I might know .

Anyway thanks to Standard & Poors you might be able to pick up a brand new M3 in the states, for a 1/3 of the price of a used one in Oz. I guess that might devalue an M3 just a little more than a side badge on a non-M car.

Anyhoo, congratulations on a great build. Has to be one of the nicest, if not the nicest E92 getting around.

One of the memorable one's anyway.
Thank you tons! Always nice to have people come to your defense!

That being said; there are a couple of minor flaws from what I can see that separate this converesion from perfection.

The hood / bumper doesn't line up right (as already mentioned, and specifically highlighted in the pic next to the "real" M3). It looks good in the magazine photos though so it must just be the way you put it back on (as you mentioned).

The passenger side skirt doesn't meet the rear quarter quite right, nor does the rear bumper meet up correctly... did they get something a little wrong with the passenger rear quarter conversion?

Overall though; most people would never see that; and the car looks amazing, love what you did with it.
It was a very tricky job to get the alignment right therefore I settle for 90% correct as it was going to take much too long to get perfect!

Enjoy your car.

Can you tell me where you got the fenders done? I wanted to do the same on my 135i a couple of years ago but no one locally would touch it. I am sure some time in the future I would want to do this again.
A friend's workshop here in Melbourne, but most of the molding was done by me!

Thank you so much, but in 2011 there are so many fantastic cars being completed with so many new styles and fashions, I was just purely hoping that the car can ride through the trends and look good for years to come.

M3 badges was a tactical and temporary measure till the 1M badges arrive.

A new E92 M3 starts at around $160,000AUD fully loaded (all Aus specs are fully loaded unless you get a pure edition)

Add about $10,000 for DCT and a few more $ for 19" rims and you start getting around the 170-180 mark

Get an individual paint job and your looking at around $200,000AUD (220,000USD)

I had a run with this car in my E92 M3 and was left for dead! Pretty shit knowing i spent 80k more on my car and cant even keep up with it...This was through the twisties as well! I thought the extra power wouldnt matter in the corners but i couldnt keep up. I dont know if its because the car is alot lighter then a stock M3 or what but either way, this car is better then an M3 in all aspects.

I guess for $80k, i can point to my M3 badge and say its real....but thats all I have on this car
Mate, I would have traded for your car anyday! especially as schmick as it looks now! The DCT box is sublime!

Hey are you in Melbourne? I think I saw your car by the crown when I was in Oz. I couldn't believe the price of luxury cars there. 125k for a 335i, 180k for a M3... unobtainable unless you're a millionaire.

Now I don't want to downplay all the thought and effort that went into building this vehicle but I don't understand what all the love is about? What he has built here is 1 bad ass 335i, NOT and M3 so why turn it into an M3 when it's not? Even though that's what you wanted but couldn't afford it. Be proud of the fact that you have an M3 whooping 335i and keep it that instead of being a wannabe M3. I just don't get it. Just my 2 cents.

No no, dont worry no offence taken whatsoever! I had a lot time to consider many different body kits with the thought that I wanted a nice widebody style. Unfortunately I couldn't at the time find anything I liked better than OEM M3 styling, perhaps if I did the car would be radically different! Yes, could have afforded a M3 but then I wouldn't of had any money left over to put the toys I wanted on it! But with some of the nicer widebody kits coming out now if I had started my build this year, I may have chosen a different path! No worries and I appreciate the time you've taken to share your 2 cents

Australian prices are nothing compared to Norwegian prices, an M3 sedan here with no options at all will set you back 263,000 USD, even the cheapest 316D with no options on steel wheels will set you back 60,000 USD.

You guys in the US are lucky, you get cheap cars then some of you think they're too expensive to use as a DD, makes me laugh.
