Dinan Stage 3 Suspension

Got my car back Friday after having the Dinan Stage 3 suspension installed. My car was parked in front of Autoscope when I arrived, and the first thing I noticed was how subtle the change was visibly, I guess for some reason I was expecting more of a difference, although it only lowers the car a half inch. Nerces at Autoscope talked me into getting Stage 3 instead of Stage 2 because he said the camber plates are a must for aggressive drivers (I qualify).

Driving Impressions - in a word, amazing. The improvement in handling afforded by the Stage 3 suspension is as dramatic as the improvement in engine performance afforded by the Dinan flash. No BS. The steering is razor-sharp and insanely accurate, the car corners absolutely flat, and most important - my confidence level in the car is greatly increased, making the car SO much more fun to drive. Moreover, the car puts down power quite a bit better than before. I took it to BMW of Dallas and let Emery, my SA, drive it (we've become pretty good friends, he's a rabid car guy) and his impressions are the same as mine. In short, it pretty much handles and steers like a race car.

Ride - the ride is definitely more firm and buttoned-down (which I like). NOT AT ALL harsh, which is impressive. I have not played with the adjustable shocks at all, Autoscope has them set at neutral currently. Adjusting them is fairly straightforward.

I highly recommend this upgrade.

Pics to follow (my car vis a vis Sniper1690's brand-new stock 335).

Awesome! Congratulations on the suspension upgrade. So you have the Dinan flash, exhaust, and suspension? I guess you probably have the badge then now too. How many hours for the installation?

What was the cost of the install? Since I have the xi, and dinan has no suspension for that, I am going with KW v3, but getting ridiculous estimates for install.

I agree with you: the dinan stuff provides a subtle but impressive change to the car. The exhaust is sweet. (I will admit that the ECU is not all that subtle.)

I am going to get dyno'd in a week or two.

Nice to hear you are liking the suspension! Thats one thing I hate about these cars actually... the suspension feels like your in an SUV (well at least to me... my saleen had no body roll what so ever). Be careful out there and enjoy.

Stage 3 ads camber plates, well worth it for me. It was recommended that I get them since I'm an aggressive (almost to the point of idiotic) driver and my car isn't used daily (I beat the crap out of the truck daily). The camber plates apparently cause greatly increased tire wear.

check out Dinan's website, it's all there.

You get what you pay for. The R&D that goes into them is extensive. Great to hear you like the setup, I am considering stage 2 but I want more of a drop perhaps KW V2 but the Dinan setup looks great with 19" wheels

Any pics of your setup? thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you Doctor. The only suspension upgrades currently available for the Xi sedan are H&R or KW V3 (both coil-overs). I'm going with the KW V3's as well .... 2 weeks.

Did you know what size of Sway Bars that were installed with Dinan Stage 3 Suspension? Thanks.

Dinan Stg 3 suspension vs. stock Lots of PICS!

Ok guys, here are a few pictures of attorneyscott's (Shappire Black) E92 335 with Dinan Stae 3 suspension compared to my (Montego Blue) 2 day old stock E92 335. Neither car was exceptionally clean as it was lightly misting on way to the shop. Also, pictures were rushed as a hail storm was quickly approaching...not pro quality! I apologize.

My car was being dropped off for Dinan S Package + ECU flash....S Package includes Stage 1 suspension, exhaust, pedals, Dinan 3 badge, and Dinan Signature plaque under the hood. Should be ready for pick-up tomorrow, and then its off to the body shop for install of Aero Lip, painted reflectors, and GP Thunder 7500k for the angel eyes. Pictures of final result to follow.
