OEM BMW Performance E90 Sedan Suspension Kit

Was thinking about getting this for my car. Question i have is from what i have read is the kit doesn't lower the car much more. Would this be a decent set up with ride comfort if i switched out the springs and put some H@R or eibach springs in there?

Thanks!

I just ordered the old performance suspension kit and I'm trying to decide what springs to run in order to get more of a drop as well. I prefer the less raked look of H&R sport but I've noticed that Eibach Pro is much closer to the spring rates of the ZSP springs, which I have.

Completely agree with you Ay, just wondering if this is going to kill the ride on the car. Cant beat it for the price.

Fraggy, are you running bmw perf. with H&R sport? If so, what are your thoughts on the ride quality and handling?

FinerThings, might I suggest making the the thread title more specific? e.g. "OEM BMW Performance E90 Sedan Suspension Kit + Aftermarket Lowering Springs". There are numerous threads on the BMW perf. suspension kit and maybe this way people who have have tried aftermarket springs can chime in.

No H&R here, BMW Perf springs as well, T3f/T4r thats why Id be interested in the Eibach since rates are similar to ZSP so handing should be pretty much the same but with way better looks.

Ya i should have named it that, not sure on how to change the thread name. Fraggy is it a much stiffer ride with the Bmw performance suspension than the stock suspension?

I dont think much stiff, but its nice and the ride is good too. I had PSS9s on before I got the perf pack so its hard to remember zsp ride and handling.

What I do remember is that the first month or so it seems pretty damn firm, but then breaks in and is really nice.

I installed the old kit today with 335 sport springs on my 328 non sport. There was a little bit drop and a huge improvement! The car is very tight and firm. The install took 4 hours (drinking beer and taking breaks) with no air tools and went quite well.

You can install them if you like, but I did not. I wouldn't bother with them for the price, because 99.9% of the people would not be able to tell the difference. The car is stiff enough that there is very little body roll. My car tends to oversteer at the limits even running a 19" staggered setup, which I like.
