Is my start sticker tacky?

My start butotn needs a retrofit- I need to clean out the glue and re-fill the gap with black silicone.
Being lazy I played around with my vinyl cutter to make a decal to cover the gap.
What do you think, fill the gap with black or keep the decal?

While I applaud your initiative and good job with the sticker to hide the gap, might be better if it was just a plain black or silver color.

But hey, it's your car, do what ya like.

Why is that gap there anyway? Is that a CF overlay on the dash trim and the hole for the start button is too big?

Yeah, it's real carbon but the hole is just a but large . I think I need to just remove the button and do a little spacer work.
I added the blue to see how it looked with my uuc shadow shift knob with the blue/silver insert.

Well, you guys have convinced me. I'm going to remove the trim & and do it up right. Shouldn't be too big of a job.
