Interest Rates

What kind of interest rates are you getting for Auto Loans? And what banks are you going through? Mostly BMW? Thanks.

4.49% for 4 years through a local credit union which is open to all members of my state.

BMW usually has the highest rates, unless they happen to be running a special at the time.

2.9% approved by BMW Finance over here, but will have to see if they follow through when the car arrives.

6.2 from USAA for 6 years. BMW has specials from time to time, but market avg for FICO scores in the 730's is from 5.99-6.2 right now. Most banks set their rates at the start of the month but from what I understand from the finance person @ my dealership, BMW usually runs specials in 2 week cycels on rates and don't really advertise them either. The best rates from BMW are for CPO's most of the time. Not always.

1.9% is what I was quoted. It is supposed to last until the end of April. My car won't be here until May, so I hope I can get that rate?? I don't know yet, think I better call and find out.

Any clue what your credit score was to get 1.9%?? I signed my deal on 25 March but won't take delivery for another week or so. My financing isn't completed at this point so I could try to hammer for that deal from BMW finance.

Is there some deal from BMW in the midwest to get 1.9%? That is awesome.

They probably do regional specials on interest rates just like other auto companies. They don't NEED 1.9% financing to move cars in California or NewYork.

Rates

Are the above rates for lease or for purchase? There is a huge difference. Lease rates (payment factors) are usually the lowest. I am a finance director.

Just talked to the Finance manager at my dealer and she told me there is no such 1.9 deal from BMWNA. Their current rate is 7.45 right now on a purchase.
Not sure how you guys are getting 1.9 but it's not through BMWNA.

That sounds high as I just got 6.4% for 60 mo from BMWNA, on a March 28th purchase. This rate was pulled prior to even starting the purchase process, so it wasn't influenced by my credit rating(not that it's bad at all but just mentioning it wasn't influenced by such).

It is through BMW Financial Services - I only got 2.9% but I know others are getting 1.9%.

This must be region specific or maybe based on the model you bought(I see both of you got 330's) because I don't know anyone around here getting those rates(thru BWM on 325's).

Was this a special offer or something? I just called BMWNA to see what the rate was and they said I would have to go through my dealer. When I mention 1.9 and 2.9 he said he had never heard any rate that low.
He also said that the rate was specific to each dealer depending on what kind of deal they have. My dealer says the rate is set by BMWNA and everyone gets the same rate. I can't get a straight answer
