Question Around $3,000 to Vinyl Matte Black my entire Car (Pics Nov 13)

Hello all, I was wondering if paying $2,000 to Vinyl Matte Black my entire BMW 335i 2007 was too much. These are professionals who do Bentleys, Lambos, Ferrari's so the quality of work is no concern. What do you guys think of the price though?

Thanks in advance!

*UPDATE* 11-13-2010......

It cost more around $3K but it was well worth it.... More pictures coming soon....

Not a dumb question, I was dumb for not making it clear, sorry. Vinyl Matte Black. They will basically just wrap the entire car with a sheet of Matte Black, like a protective layer

Yep - that's about the cheapest quote I've seen to do this.

Yea that's a good price. A clear front end bra alone costs upwards of 1k. I know Ovechkin paid 5,000 to get his black series wrapped.

About 3 days. He said 4-6 days to play it safe, but he said he can have it ready in 3 days, and they will still be taking their time.

3 Years Fully Covered, such as bubbles or wear and tear. And they take everything apart (bumpers, side skirts, etc). I can't wait until Nov 13 (the day I pick it up)

Since you asked, I think it’s a BIG waste of money.

The vinyl roof was the worst automotive fad ever perpetrated on the American public by the Big Three automakers, with all of the problems of a convertible top (fading, ripping, etc.) and none of the benefits.

Today, vinyl siding is still considered to be a cut-rate material for home exteriors, so why would anyone want to cover the entire exterior of a car in cheap vinyl? Especially a BMW?

Just my opinion though...

i would think the material they use these days is a little better than back in the day...and you have 3 years of warranty..even "wear and tear" it says. so you can always have them redo it for free anytime there is an issue.

Just curious, how do you care for it? I imagine it can be washed with a mild car wash but I doubt you'd want to wax it or put any chemicals on it.
