Buddies and I rented out VIR, Pics, gopro vids
A friend and I started a car club at the college I attend. VIR had some killer deals for their winter packages, so we decided to take advantage of them. We rented the north course for a day, 9am-430pm we could do whatever we wanted, it was amazing and I suggest that you all check it out. My friend was taking pics and I also have gopro vids on the way. As for my car, I have done two BMW CCA trackdays at VIR previously on my stock 193Ms with Bridgestone RE050A Runflats. This trackday however was my first using my 19" BMW Performance wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sports (235 front 265 rear) as well as the BMW Performance Tune. I didn't really notice a difference in terms of the tune, but the tires.....oh my dear lord. The difference was night and day. I was able to push my car harder than I ever thought possible. The grip is endless, and when the tires finally do give way, they do so in such a manageable manner that it's not even a concern. I recommend picking up a set of the PSS asap if you do any track driving whatsoever and dont have a second set of wheels, it is a truly amazing tire. My car itself was great once again, with great torque all around and fantastic reliability and resistance to heat soak. The brakes are also great, and I'm running stock pads, rotors, and even stock fluid. If you haven't tracked your 3 yet, you're missing out! Also, my friend was kind enough to let me drive his '98 540i 6 speed on the track, and I came away shocked. The car had a cable throttle, which was a huge change in terms of heel-toeing, but the car felt tight as could be and has 120k miles. Only makes me want to get an E39 M5 more.... Lastly, note the orange impreza sedan in the last pics....that is my buddy's race car, the thing is absolutely awesome. Tuned H6 from a legacy outback in it, sounds identical to a 911. Now for the fun stuff....raw footage to come, one of the members of the car club put this video together.

beautful car and great post...
out of curiosity what other higher end tires have you owned? r888, re11, ad05, dunlop star spec, etc I was disappointed in PSS but i think I expected too much and they do last which is nice.
