How many!
Just come back from California (San Fran, LA and Palm Springs) and have to say the 3 series seems to REALLY sell well there!
Mostly pre-lci models with 16 or 17 inch alloys on, no diesels and hardly any big rims, possibly due to all those concrete passovers and harsh ride springs. Also noted that some had those horrible clip on wheel weights too on the outer rims. Yuck! Saw loads of Arctic Silvers and obviously due to the hot weather not many darker colours. Only saw about 3 Audis in California but did see a nice Audi S6 parked up in Vegas when I was there too. |

oh ok, didnt know they can do that. so why would they even bother putting them on the outside if they can go on the inside?

Due to the need to doing the whole lot in about 10 days or so we mainly took the interstates but the initial route through northern Cali was more on smaller roads. We passed through Carmel, Monterey and backtracked a bit to do the Monterey Drive. Then visited Santa Barbara before going along the coastal road proper via Malibu before hitting the freeway proper into LA.
Yes liked California very much and the people are very polite, for example they let you cross the road without issues and even ask you if you mind if they start smoking. Last edited by Tippo; 07-12-2011 at 03:14 AM.. |

Most of the ones I saw were 320i's and 318i's, petrol is about $3.80 'a gallon' in California at the mo.
When I went to the US for the first time it was only 69c a gallon in Atlanta! |

Thats still less than £2/gallon UK equivalent.
Nobody would drive diesel here either at that price |
