I don't know if Im just searching for the wrong thing but I can't find a single thing for hp/tque gains from aftermarket intakes. Any info? Can you hear the turbos better? THANKS!

can definately hear the turbos more intake gains would be minimal 6-15 hp maybe a tad more not really tho

It's really hard to calculate the gains from open element intakes, since I'm pretty sure 99%+ of the dyno tests done with open element intakes, have been done with the hood up.
And when it comes to open element intakes, dyno tests with them HAVE to be done with the hood closed to be accurate.
Since you don't drive with the hood open, they need to be closed.
Well the stock intake test was done with the hood open too you say?
Well, that doesn't matter since the stock intake is closed so no "extra" air can get into it from the open hood.

To be completely accurate anyway, dyno tests need to sync up their fans to the dyno pull. Fans should start at 25-30 mph then once they hit the green "go" button to start the dyno run, the fans should ramp up to 100 mph over a 10 second period. This would more accurately emulate the wind as you speed up on the road.

But that's another story. Point again: open element intakes NEED to be dyno tested with the hoods closed or you're getting a falsely optimistic dyno result when comparing it to a closed lid intake like the stock intakes.

I'd say you'll see 1-3 hp at lower speeds (below 40 mph) with the open element intake.
Probably somewhere in the 4-8 hp gain in the moderate speeds (40-80 mph) and probably 9-15 hp gain at higher speeds (80-150 mph).

When you're dealing with basic bolt-ons, most of the time you're lucky to get 5hp.

You need to stack mods until it adds up to something worth-while.

Full intake + Full exhaust will give you an appreciable amount.

More importantly, they simply raise the ceiling when running a tune.
