eibach pro springs on stock shocks (non zsp)
ive a e90 335i lci
what's most compatible and would put the least strain on stock non zsp shocks? eibach pro? i believe the shocks have been on my car for 30k miles already how long do you think it will last? please do not say to buy coilovers or new shocks at the same time |

I don't think they'll last at all. You're likely already at the end of life for your struts/shocks.
Expect the car to ride like crap. It'll look great, you just need to ask yourself why you drive a BMW. Buy new shocks & struts with them if you want it to drive nicely. You may not like the advice, but that doesn't mean it's not correct. |

They may last a little while, but just because they are not blown, doesn't mean they will perform well. The stock dampers will not be able to adequately dampen the higher spring rate and the ride will suffer. Plus you may be close to being on the bump stops due to the lowered springs, so relatively small bumps could make the car crash really hard. You would be alot better off riding on the stock dampers and springs until you can do the upgrade correctly.

Digging up this older thread.
What I need to know is the stock spring rates (non sport 328i) vs. the Eibach Pro Kit. Mr.5 has a sticky showing the rates of various springs, but it does not include the rates of the stock 328i suspension. Does anyone know this? |
