brake light yellow

i have a 2008 323i AT. i changed the brake pads maybe a month or 2 ago, and this morning i get in to find the yellow warning light on for the rear breaks, and the service indicator had ------.

i havent had time to pull the wheel yet, any thoughts? i tried resetting the counter, nothing. any help or previous experience would be appreciated. cheers.

check the sensor, if the pads are not worn, I would suspect the sensor is pinched or cut

ya, i figured probably a sensor. i was sure i routed the cable properly too. i am going to pick up another sensor tomorrow and pull the wheel. pads cant be worn, not this soon. the last set had 60k on them and were barely worn. i only changed them because i had them off when the counter ran out, and figured i'd change it all while i'm in there.
