CSL Wheels Powder Coating Ideas

Hey Guys,

I have a SMG colored car. What color do you think would look best on a CSL wheels?

They were destroyed by a tire shop and are currently Hyper Black. Any other good ideas perhaps?

Are you looking for something a bit more loud, or were you looking to keep things subtle?

Be careful with powdercoating. If the company doesn't know what they are doing, it can weaken the wheel. BBS, Volk and Advan will void the warranty on their wheels if they are powdercoated.
HRE does it, but they are VERY meticulous with the powdercoating and know who is doing it.
There are low-heat powdercoats that address this issue, so it is possible, but be careful.

Good 2 note thanks. I assume he knows what hes doing. The repair show is alloy wheel repair, they seem pretty reputable. Whats everyone's consensus regarding them?

I have been quoted $160 per wheel to repair/ paint/powder coat. Are there cheaper alternatives out there?

+1

Powder coating is a great way to improve the finish on the wheels, but if the wheels are left in the oven for too long they can become brittle.

$160 a wheel might not be too bad in your area. You may want to shop around a bit though.

Around SoCal you can get the same work done for less.

I just paid $200 for 4 wheels. And they did a great job on them. But in EastTennessee there are so many places that do work like that its easy to get low prices on various things. (so many tractors, offroading rigs, and moonshine stills to have parts powder coated on I guess) haha
