Anyone replaced a oil filter housing gasket?
I saw the diy for the n54. Anyone know if it's the same for the n55. My car is in for the vanos recall and they want to charge me 1000+ to Change the gasket and it's only a $30 part. Thanks for any help

I'm out of warranty. And if he would have said $700 my answer would have been the same.

That's what I was expecting. So would you say this diy would apply to the n55 as well

N55 here too. Just had that and a broken lower control arm bushing replaced under extended warranty. Dealership replaced both dr and passenger side and then gave $250 alinement (price is bs). All paid for my extended warranty. It's almost paid for itself twice over. I forgot to point out the broken pass side air vent. Stupid little silver things broken off.
