BMW Ghost Logo Light in Boot / trunk
Okay firstly I no this one won't be for everyone, even I had my apprehensions. For me I liked the logo lights but I felt if someone saw me open my door they would think I was an idiot.
BUT I found a use for them. Its a marmite mod as I say and its safety is probably debatable. Anyhow I bought the logo lights from eBay from £5.20. This came with two pin adapters which I used to make them work. What you need 1 x Logo Light 1 x Adapter (usually sold with the light) 1 x Electrical tape 1) To start with you need to remove your original boot light. This is located at the top and you use a point to pry round the side till it falls out. Then remove the connector by pulling on it by the sides and out it pops. 2) Take your logo light and plug in the adapter. This then leaves two pins. The original boot light connector has 3 holes but only uses number 1 and 3. To get the pins of the adapter to fit you need to bend these slightly then you can push them into the exposed holes of the light connector. This should now give power to the logo light powering it up 3) Then wrap electrical tape round the connector so that any exposed metal doesn't short out on the metal frame of the car 3) I fixed the logo light up in the original hole and taped it in place. As you can see from the pictures this isn't centred correctly at the moment but its raining so I'll centre it tomorrow. |

I did this mod to the lights under the door, you get a few weird looks but 90% of people really like it.

Cool, each of their own. I'm not a fan boot or welcome door. Does look good I suppose. PS I think they fade in time

You can buy these online for cheap. I got some for a gift from a friend. They must of been cheap because they faded in 3 months.
