i did the same, since i ordered a new key, so i opened the keyfob (very difficult but luckily went well and you hardly see the cut) and i soldered the new battery VL2020 but tried to open the doors and nothing happened. i don't dare yet to put it in the slot, did i missed something?

Or reprogram the key. Can do via idrive menu. Not sure about non idrive.

didn't worked for me, did all the process, opened the case, change the battery, then nothing, the car starts just fine but the keyfob won't open doors. Luckily I have my new key that works fine

I had the yellow warning light come on today - Battery in remote control discharged. I use this fob everyday! I don’t have CA. Hopefully after driving a good distance it will recharge itself, I purchased the fob last year to replaced one that was missing.

Great video for what? Comfort access has a battery and a battery door. This genius made a video to change the battery?

This thread is in Regards to Non serviceable non comfort access remotes.

Further more his whole video is meaningless to even e9X comfort access owners. We just swap the battery and continue. None of the nonsense he was having in his e60.
