Still need to go lower on the front. There's a bit too much gap but I'll do it next week along with alignment

Did you max out the front and back? If not, you really should. You won't rub and the drop will be just right after it sets in.

Swung by the shop to take a look at the bumper and it's looking nice, looks like a quality patch job where the PDC holes are concerned. They didn't have the paint that's required to match the color so there was a delay in getting it, hopefully I can get the old parts so I can put them up FS. I'm so excited!

I'm maxed out on mines. It's roughly like a finger thickness or a tiny bit less in the gap. I don't have my car on me now, but you can check out the pic in my thread to get an idea of what it looks like.

Car looks great! How's the ride on the ST/KW's? I'm about to pick a used set of KW V1's from a local member in about a week.

my initial thoughts so far (20 miles) car feels REALLY planted, steering is a bit heavier, the ride feels great. If you never knew i had ST's you wouldnt be able to tell much of a difference. It seems like bumps and such that would normally cause the car to be jumpy has been reduced. It was much smoother to go over a bump with train tracks near my house. Normally when I go over that around 40 MPH the back end jumps up a little bit and its really annoying. After the coils I went over it smooth with no jumps or major bumps at all. Its not nearly as stiff as I was expecting

Copied from BMW USA and it's exactly the same as the letter I just received.
13V-044: Power Supply System March 2013 Recall Campaign No. 13V-044: Power Supply System Dear BMW Owner: This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. BMW AG has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain Model Year 2007-12 1 Series, 3 Series and Z4 vehicles. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM This Recall involves the vehicle power supply system. The connection between the positive battery cable and the fuse box can wear over time. If the wear is excessive, then in most cases, this can cause a break in the electrical connection and create a non-starting condition in the vehicle. In certain cases, it can also cause a momentary flickering of the display in the instrument cluster or a momentary (less than one second) engine shut down. The electrical system may also be completely interrupted during vehicle operation, and result in engine stalling and a loss of various vehicle systems that could increase the risk of a crash. DESCRIPTION OF REPAIR The positive battery cable connector will be replaced with an improved version. The actual repair will require approximately two hours; however, additional time may be required depending on the BMW center's schedule. This work will be performed free of charge by your authorized BMW center. Contact your Authorized BMW center immediately to have the necessary repair performed as soon as possible. |

That's great! I need to take my car in like real soon. Been having issues with rough idle where it'll shake pretty badly when cold and even threw a CEL. Then when I removed my undertray last Saturday to fix my lip I noticed I have oil leaks.
