So now that the weather is getting nice and we have more and more forum members located in the Tulsa area, I think we should schedule a meet one weekend here soon. Would anyone else be up for that? It would be cool to take a look at everyones cars and actually meet everyone we talk to....just a thought. Let me know what you all think or when would be a good time for a meet.

So you are running map 6 huh? Hmm maybe I should join the big boys and try out map 5!!! Im still running 3 and its already burnout city in first and second gear! Damn thing is a beast! DP's = Awesome Mod!

After the quality of work that they did at Rennsport I think I will take all of my future modding to them! They had a 96 Porsche Turbo with 25K miles for sale out in front of their store for 79K! It was a beautiful car. That is a car I would love to own in the future!

I think I'm just posting to myself but....some tard in an STI sedan kept revving his engine at me wanting to race and I wouldn't give him the time of day. Its not worth even wasting my gas to smoke him and hurt his ego. Only cars I would ever run against would be porsches, vettes, SS, Cobra etc...

I raced my buddies C6 Z06 a week ago! Hehe! 490 to the wheels. He had a cam installed this weekend for around 550 to the wheels!!!

I'm planning a 2 day trip to dallas and kileen, to visit Terrance for the meth/spark plug install I think. I'll be outta town in LA till the 5th of may, so I'm gonna try and do it that week. Also my car is supposed to go in this next wed so I'm gonna be taking the jb3 out tomorrow.

Jon, my car goes in next Monday, so I took out the JB3 Saturday. I got the 2.0 chip in the mail today from Terry Burger and got it installed in the JB3. Can't wait to test it out. I told BMW I'm having long cranks. Yeah that Z06 is a beast. We were running aroung on the Creek Turnpike after playing some golf out in Jenks.

So how did you fare against the Z06?

And also, what is the advantage of the 2.0 Chip over the 1.3 which is what I believe I have...What mods are you running Beers?

Here's what I posted in N54tech.com:

Not really a race, just my friend and I having fun. I'm just map 3 only. He has a nasty lowered 06 Z06. His mods are: intake, exhaust, longtube headers, and tune (490 to the wheels). We just got finished playing golf and were leaving to get on the highway with me in front on the on ramp. I really wanted to see how bad that car would destroy me. I saw an opening to merge left onto the highway at about 60 mph, so I put it down. He took the bait. He said we got up to 120 on his headsup display. He never passed, but I had to put the brakes on. I never knew we got to that speed because I kept looking in my mirror and in front of me. This had my adrenilin going. Woohoo. I wanted him to get by me so I could hear his exhaust, but we had hit some traffic. Finally, we got off onto another highway (with no traffic) and he romped it past me. Geeze!! I took the bait knowing I didn't have a prayer, but he let off about the time I really got into it. It was kind of nice seeing what my car was like against one of the fastest cars on the road.

I spoke with him yesterday and he was amazed at how fast I was. His wife has a 330i, so he knows a little bit about our cars. He said he wasn't exactly reeling me in like I was nothing. He was impressed enough to tell some of his coworkers about my car. He asked what I do the 1320 in and I told him it's probably capable of 12.7-12.9, but I've never run it on the strip. I told him I'd probably couldn't break 13 myself (maybe). So we're going to the track when we get a chance. He's running 11.5 on street rubber, but he's having a cam installed Friday which will put him at 550 to the wheels. Anyway, it was fun Sunday and wanted to share.

I had the 1.4 chip in there. I can't review the 2.0 yet, but from what I read, it's day and night difference plus the ability to make your own custom maps...ie. lower torque in 1st and 2nd for better grip. It's also supposed to have better throttle response and smoother acceleration. I'll review it next week after I get it put back on the car.

Sounds like fun! Our cars are definitely quick, there is no doubt about that! Let me know what you think of the 2.0 Chip; could be something I invest in down the road. After I put on those Catless DP's, I am seriously considering purchasing the AE Downpipe Back Catless Exhaust just to top it off. The sound is intoxicating and I really think that would help me maximize air flow! Just need to justify spending 1500+. First things first though, gonna get my H&R Springs put on with some Koni Shocks, and Painted Reflectors.

I was asking if your JB3 is a Generation 3. If it is, it will have a com port on the end of it that allows it to plug into your laptop. This enables you to make custom tunes for your car. It's more benefitial to you and Jon with all of your mods. To change your chip from 1.3 to 2.0, you just have to buy a new chip or a chip burner with a usb cable and install it in the JB3. It's very simple. Took me maybe 2 minutes. The hardest part is removing the JB3 from the car.

Ah yes, I am a complete jackass for not realizing this! Yes I do have a gen 3 board. I went onto the burger tuning website earlier today to check out the new chip...So you actually had to remove the whole JB3 to install the chip? I guess that shouldn't be too much of an issue. And for $20, I think I can afford that! Thanks for the input, sorry I am a complete tard! Aside from the custom tunes, (which I don't think I would ever make) the chip would still be beneficial I take it? As you said, lower torque and increased throttle response etc. etc.?

Hey guys just ordered a couple things and also some things have finally shipped for me:

1)Ordered Safeinjection, the one piece that i was missing for my meth kit to be complete.
2)My 3D front lip is in transit
3)Ordered BMS JB3 Gen 3 Board preloaded with 2.0 (65 bucks after i send back my old gen 2 board)
4)Ordered Datalogging Cable

Also I just got my car back from the dealer, they said it was making the weird noise from the rear brake calipers, we shall see. I have to run out to the airport at around 6am and by the time i get to the airport ill know if its been fixed.

I have some work coming up for me....

Nice! Sounds like fun! My rear brakes have been squeeking terrible when I brake while going in reverse. I need to get that checked out myself.
