UK BMW 330i - 2006 or 2007 model
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and am looking for some tips. I've currently got an old 318is and am looking for an upgrade - i've pretty much decided I want a 330i but want to know whether it's worth spending a bit more for the newer model. I've had a look around and can't seem to find any posts or anything good on the web that discuss the differences between the 2006 and the 2007+ 330i. I've read that there is slightly more power and you get better fuel economy in the newer one, but are there any other differences or problems in the 2006 version that have been sorted in the newer one? Is the performance/economy noticably better? I look forward to your responses, Many thanks, Cbris |

Hey there Chris I've owned alpine white 2006 330i for 3 years auto trans . Very solid car but the only problem I had was the ticking of the hydraulic lifters which the N52 engine is known for. The dealer change the lifters and cylinder head to fix the problem under CPO warranty, other than that it's a very solid car. Fuel wise it's ok in the city but amazing on the highway with lots of passing power I believe it has a 255hp or you can install a chip to get 10-20hp goodluck chris
