Vishnu/FFTEC Single Turbo: 700whp 599wtq [World Record]

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Update: PUMP GAS (91oct) NO METH:

Dyno @ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=829687

Happy to say that we were the first to break 300, 400, 500, 600 and now 700whp with the N54

Captain Insano's Vishnu/FFTEC 6466 single turbo 335i
100oct+pwm meth
26psi
4th gear
STD corrected
No Smoothing (set to 0)

Full torque by 4300rpm! And a nice linear 700whp @ only 26psi, which suggests that there is plenty left in this 6466 turbo (should support over 850 WHP). The Capt has been running this car at Laguna Seca for the last year (albeit with 50whp less)

Uncorrected/Actual: 708whp 606wtq

Still some fine tuning to do with the WGDC table (it is currently based on the smaller 6262 turbo which isn't ideal but good enough for this initial testing). The 6466 spools just as quickly as the smaller 6262 but packs a serious punch and absurdly fast spool. Hope to run some 60-130s with it this weekend. And I hope to see 5.x seconds.

Both STD and Uncorrected/Actual results attached below:

Nice!!!
Im a total noob so sorry if the question is dumb.
But isnt 26psi a lot?
I thought the boost to be safe has to be around 20.

Gotta find the limit somehow. Others have gone past this without exploding so far.

OK so when will it be considered safe? After how many miles?

Is this the same Turbo that Vishnu is selling VFF700?

Thanks guys. It only took a few tuning runs to make those numbers. Turbo itself still has over 100whp left in it. At 30psi, we hope to see 730-740whp if the motor will take it. So far so good.

Dyno graphs are already on our Facebook page. Will post them here when I get to the office tomorrow.

Does it really matter ? It's good practice to use Dynojet for marketing reasons, since this is what everyone else in business is using. It would be stupid to only publish Mustang's lower numbers while everyone else in business uses Dynojet's higher numbers.

for dyno numbers yeah. mustang dyno aka heartbreak dyno gives a relatively low reading vs a dynojet/packs. mustang dynos are supposedly more accurate, but dynojet numbers are just fine.

He drove it to a dynojet and got it dynoed.

Good work guys! It's getting more and more interesting seeing how well these motors are supporting the power, in for the 30psi results as well

Yeah I have DSS axles. Need to get new wheels/tires to take advantage of the fenders, but they aren't cracking when I slam the car anymore

competition and innovation.... = free market -> I like!

I remember the days that we were debating if the N54 could hold up with 450-500whp... in the meanwhile we passed 500, 600 and now 700whp... and standard internals... The master mind behind the n54 at BMW did a great job! (Bit too well :-)
