Howerton Engineering Meth tank for Aquamist

I posted a few pics in shiv's 91 octane dyno thread but didnt want to put any more info in there.

I am ordering an Aquamist HFS6 meth kit for my M3 and have been researching tank options.

so far here is the best option that I have found that really helps tidy up the install process, wiring, tank, pump, etc.....its also not cheap

They have several different options depending on your space constraints and capacity requirements.

take a look: http://www.howertonengineering.com/tanks.htm

Their biggest 2 gallon twin tank design costs $319...it goes down from there.

example of interals

I know most of you are not to this stage yet w/ Meth injection as you are waiting for a tuning option, but you can use this for future reference.

There is a very easy tidy solution for the N54. I am hoping to have the DIY soon, but I don't think there is a reason to spend that much on a tank.

No problem giving out that info. I went with the Snow Performance Stage 3 dual nozzle kit. I added:

-2.5 gallon tank
-Solenoid upgrade
-220 psi fuel pump (adjustable to 270 psi)
-SafeInjection

There are a few more components too. There will be a new Stage 3G controller in the next couple of days that will allow RPM/Boost triggered injection too.

oh so the kit your running is not triggered on boost or rpm? What is it triggered on? Where did you tap for the nozzles? Charge pipe or Intake Mani?

I think my kit will be setup for 10psi activation, boost targets should be around 16-17psi. Similar to a highly modded n54.

This car responds remarkably well to water methanol. The IATs fly down regardless of the volume you spray in my experience. Also since this is a DI motor, it seems quite sensative to quench. Right now I am boost only (I know what you are going to say). I know it is not ideal to accurately control quanity of fluid injected, but that will change with the new controller.

I used the STETT Performance charge pipe to tap. That is basically 8 inches or so from the throttle body.

Looks nice, have you seen the kit BMS is using? Results have been terrific (456rw on 93 octane), the price is right, and its easy to install/remove.

It's on their website. Very cool setup, and there is an integrated JB3 meth controller/safety system coming out soon too.

Running Boost Juice right now. Even in small quantities the car pulls like a beast.
