[E91 S65]

Hi all, I purchased a replacement powerfold mirror for our passenger side mirror which now has a mind of its own.

Great, but we have gloss black trim and the one I bought is the matte... I've got the mirror lens black rim off to change over but can't work out how to remove the plastic base over the alloy carrier behind- does anyone know how to? Do you have to separate the two alloy parts at the hinge where the mirror folds?
