First of all, in GVA, OEM oil cooler is over $3000 installed. Second, it has larger cooling area than the OEM so might as well get ER sport even if it's the same price. Yeah, hope it solves the problem!

Seems like E90 x-drives w/sport pack and m-sport got the oil coolers for some reason while E92s didn't.

Bought the ER Sport oil cooler +retrofit kit from Mike@N54tuning.. I have track day on July 11th+12th so I'll let you know if this fixes it (probably will). $1500 installed
What was the labor cost and did they remove your fog lights or just use the brake vents for air flow over the oil cooler?

Guys, why are you worring???

Did somebody had thermal problems like the N54 drivers? Did somebody had consistently high (250+ F) temps?

So don't go bananas

Umm... Yes. Heck, mine runs about 250F under normal conditions in 50-60F temps.

I even posted about 3 times so YES.

AGAIN 240-250 F are NORMAL Temperatures! If you go in limp mode in NORMAL drive something is wrong!

I corrected 240+ to 250+ temp in my earlier post. I'm use to Celsius (so i
meant 120+ C)

Hows the ER oil cooler working for you? I thought it was only for N54.. the mods on our engine is so limited...

Does it void warranty if you use after market oil cooler?

ER still hasn't sent it to n54tuning.. won't have it for July 11th track day. I have more trackdays coming up though so I will update how it is on track and as soon as I get it I'll let you guys know how it is for the street!

Oil cooler is basically extending the engine's life so if BMW does that, they are full of shit They're the ones who didn't provide us with oil cooler in the first place.

Are you actually retarded or can't read? (Trick question).

They want oil coolers so they can do track days without going into limp mode after 2-3 laps.

Post some pics of the install and when its done please!

Since it uses BMW parts for the retrofit it must look identical to a stock factory oil cooler if you were to just open the hood eh? (Where it attaches to the oil filter housing and the thermostat)

ER Sport Oil Cooler Installed

Just had the ER Sport oil cooler installed today. Looks like it works Usually, even on street, I was close to 130 degrees Celcius. With the ER Sport oil cooler installed, it doesn't go past 120 degrees regardless of what I do (was trying to purposely heat up the oil by keeping engine at high rpm and using low gears).

The real test will be at the track. Next track day for me is either August 15th or August 23rd. I'll keep you guys posted.

Note: I didn't buy the aluminum shroud kit.
