I'm only 26 so my first car was a 2000 Honda Civic Si in Electron Blue Pearl. Mods were Eibach springs/shocks, short shifter with urethane bushings, cold air intake, 4-1 header, high-flow cat, and catback exhaust. Everything else was stock. I took care of it religiously and I sold it for quite a lot in 2007 when I bought my current BMW. I was proud to have a clean, good-looking and nice-sounding Civic among all the ghetto ones.

To this day I miss how raw and simple that car was sometimes. Revving that Honda 1.6L motor to 8k was always a rush, and the manual tranny was the best I've ever driven. And the mods were cheap! Top-quality exhaust systems were around $500 just to give an idea!

I'm 27 myself and can totally agree. I had a EM1 and DC2 and of course I love my bimmer, but it was something about those honda's that had a "drive it like you stole it" attitude and you could always depend on. On the flipside, being in my mid 20's then and the extreme cop magnet attraction was enough for me. Maybe I'll get one to be a complete track car one day... but, then again the e92 m3 revs to 8300rpm

A 1967 maroon Chevy Impala. Those were the days when the Impala was a nice looking and fine handling car. It had so much leg room! I loved that car. I guess you remember your first car fondly, like your first girl friend.

Then came a 1969 Mercury Cougar and it broke down after a year and a half.

My first was a 1973 Fiat Spyder convertible (ironically the second in this thread). I had a baking sheet under the driver's floor mat since there was a Flintstone sized hole in the rusted out floor. It was far from a fine automobile.

Second Car = 1964 Chevrolet Corvair convertible. I rebuilt the flat six motor over a summer. It taught me a lot about cars and motors. I then went two decades + before returning to a convertible....

A boat: a 1966 Chrysler Newport. A V8 with nice pickup and tail fins. My whole department could fit in it when we went to lunch.

First car was a 1980 Mercury Capri. I got it in 1989 with 230k miles on it. 200ci straight 6 engine and 4 speed manual trans. Black with red interior. Had those damn TRX metric wheels like in the picture. Could only use Michelin TRX metric tires.
