JB3 Official Pricing Released!
Still on track for a mid to late august release. Currently in beta testers hands.
Plug and Play = $779 Pinout version = $579 As always... Jb2 or Jb1 owners get a full credit towards jb3! Price will be $779 for the plug and play version, and $579 for the professional (pin out) version. We are working hard to build up stock on plug and play harnesses but there will likely be a large shortage upon release. Those that opt for the pin out harness initially can easily add the plug and play connectors when they are available. Product details HERE: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148698 Sign up to be notified by e-mail when it goes on sale HERE: http://www.rixeffects.com/store/jb3 -Rick |

I speculate it will help with the lag, but the beter question is, will you be screwed trying to use it with 29.2/V81? Sorry if I missed this answer in the JB3 thread.
Also, I'm probably not really in the market for a JB (can't consider any tune right now that would flag my car), but I must say, kudos for the price credit methodology. Great to see you not hosing your prior sustomers who adopted early! |

Yep - here, since I like to bash others for being lazy, I shall not be lazy myself:

Not a big deal for performance since we're able to read/alter quite a bit more parameters than we could with the JB2 (rpm/cps, iat, tps, solenoids, fp, etc), but it puts a damper on our lean cruise plans. It is also causing me to ponder whether we should use the stock air/fuel ratios for our pre 29.2/v81 tune as well. That would allow us to drop the small black connector off the wiring harness making for an even easier install and lower price. And if I could find an alternative to the TPS sensor on one of the left two connectors we could drop the gray sub connector too! Did I mention I strive for simplicity? --------- That's good news, however, like V3, it sounds like a bit of a compromise/workaround the real issue of the detection. Hopefully the next stage of development involves no compromise and still no detection. |

If you are the original owner of a JB2 or JB1, you can return it for a FULL CREDIT ($379 for a jb2) after you order the jb3. BMS does this to show its dedication to current customers who chose to upgrade to a new model.
Basically after all is said and done... jb2 owners get the PNP jb3 for 400 bucks, and the pinout jb3 for 200 bucks!!!!!!!!!! |
