You can install yourself but if your not confident in playing with fitment best to give it to a shop.

Maybe not, just go to your local "friend" to pass you but then again I heard CA does OBD2 diagnostic for smog checks now or coming soon, don't know. But I still have my stock exhaust in my garage.
