Hey guys.. I bought a 335i with Navi and have few questions about Navi but i don't see an answer in the manual.

1. When I'm panning in the Navigation, how do I go back or exit panning? other than pushing menu and starting over...
2. Is there an option how to display categories on the map like gas stations, hotels, parks etc,,,

1. If you just press the knob down while in the panning mode another menu will popup and allow you to go back.

2. If you do a search, for example Services->Car->Gas stations (or something like that) with 25km. After the list comes up, just go back to the map and all the gas stations listed will popup as an icon. Each catagory has it's own icon, but you can only show one catagory at a time, my favourite is looking for liquer/beer stores.

^^basically what he said. to jump back to the previous menu without being ejected to the main menu, you basically have to select the icon for back, " <---. looks something like that and is usually the top left icon on the screen.

to look up display categories you can search like above, or if you have a destination entered into your idrive already, simply click back to get out of the map screen, and click on your destination. it will give you many sub-menu's including "information on destination". from here, you can select clothing, services, restaurants, etc...
