Fair quote? for installs and dyno time

2 hours on the dyno for remote PID tuning

VTT 2+ install
Transmission swap/pan
Custom turbo inlet plumbing install
Custom Oilcooler retrofit and install
Water pump and Tstat

$3200 after tax.

Seems steep i know but this is basically 4 days of work (shop hours)
these guys know their shit. they work with MOTIV and OveRev

Anyhow i know i know i should do it and i probably could but i am going to san diego for 8 weeks in a few days and when i get back i wont have time before i move again. what do you all think?

That's seems very reasonable to me given the amount of work. Figure a typical trans swap is 1k and water pump and t stat can almost run the same not bad at all.

What trans are you going with an updated one for the alpina flash?

Turbos, intakes, water pump and thermostat are done in one go and shouldn't take more than 12 hours at the most to do. At a shop that has done N54 turbo swaps before its about an 8-9 hour job.

That leaves you with the transmission swap/pan. What does that mean exactly?

What sort of oil cooler are you putting in? This might be a good chunk of your cost depending on what you're doing and what parts you're sourcing and from where. If the car will spend 99% of the time on the street, which most N54s do, and you don't have an oil cooler at all just add an OEM one and be done with it. People go overboard with oil coolers for street driven N54s, I see it all the time, useless investment in vast majority of cases.

putting a new tranny in and im having them swap out the tranny pan. (not a big deal) but i thru it on there anyhow cause adding the 10L of tranny fluid does actually take a while on this car haha.

I am having them custom make on of my 25 row core and braided steel lines swapping out the Oil filter housing and putting one of Robs block off plates on it. not gonna run a Tstat.

Also PTF. its not intakes, inlets.. completely custom, relocating intakes to turbo side, moving coolant expansion tank to the driver side and custom bracket for the other components that need moved, then a new quick bending charge pipe to make room for the coolant expansion tank. Relocating Vacuum canisters behind dash and some minor head shield snipping and bending involved. (PITA) then removing factory inlet plumbing also PITA

Given all the custom fab work in that case you got yourself a deal.
