BMW 335D E90 - Large project in progress!

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. My name is Ryan and I am 22. I purchased my 2007 BMW E90 335D about a year ago now and have made a few modifications in that time span. So far I have made the following upgrades:

EBC Red Stuff Pads
EBC Groove Discs
18" Alloys
Red Caliper Paint

The engine is currently stock. I will be remapping my car in a few months once I am happy with all the external work.

I have just purchased M3 Wings/Fenders, Door mirrors and bonnet. I do not want an M3 and I am not trying to be an "M3 Replica". I will not be putting an M badge on etc. I just think those parts give the vehicle character! I am not doing any quad conversion to the rear etc.

My car is booked in next month for a full vinyl wrap. I have gone for matte blue but not the 3m wrap which most people usually use. I have gone for a slightly darker shade of blue which I think will look great!

Please see some pics below of my car from stock to present:

I will be happy to hear your opinions and advice during my journey to creating a lovely 335D. I can upload more photo's on request.

You must shrink them to either a max of 1200x1200 or 1600x1600 pixels (can't remember which) because the site won't do it for you. Sometimes after you have done that you also need to get below a megapixel limit. A freeware program called irfanview if still available will do this if you don't have another application.

Weirdness

It's weird to see the RHD. But it's also weird to see a pre-LCI 335d, halogen headlights with no halos.

I like to look at black cars, but I've never had one as I don't have the patience... Nice.

Totally agree, I wash this car once a week! Gets dirty extremely quick. Hence the matte blue wrap I'm getting in a few weeks. I will be having HID Halo's fitted soon also

Thanks!

Exclamation Dyno Results

Please see my stock dyno run done a few weeks ago by BW Chiptune:

I am a little bit disappointed with the results but the car was due for a full service etc. I will be running it again soon before the remap.

The wheels seem appropriate for a black car with sport suspension.... kind of Darth Vaderish, no?

That's the UK for you! I always say the same when I see vehicles abroad!

Thanks mate! I suppose I can get away with it (still 22)

May have them sprayed all black once wrapped, I will decide after it's wrapped. May even create a poll vote

No idea lol, I like them so I got them. Most people go for common brands like BBS etc, so I thought I would try something new. May change the look once it's all wrapped or even before!

Thanks man! Not long to go until the wrap and tints!

Sounds good, nice figures! I will be running mine again soon

Everyone seems to like the alloys the way they are! Will be doing a poll soon.

I followed an E46 black coupe couple days ago that the owner had blacked out everything on, had a nice spoiler on the trunk and another just above the rear window. He had similar wheels that were painted off-white; set off the all-black very well.

Nice! I bet it looked sweet!! Only problem with mine is that it will be wrapped matte blue, I may plasti-dip the wheels matte black.. if I don't like it I can always take it off I guess
