I finally bought a bike

I always wanted a bike and thought this year is the year. Went through an intensive course and passed every test first go which i was quite suprised at as it's much harder than the car test!

Got my power ranger gear and now a bike to match it, it's a 2007 Suzuki gsxr 600 with 3000 miles on the clock.

OP, just be careful since I assume it's the beginning. Every motorcycle owner I've known had a story to tell of how they fell. I've always wanted one but don't trust myself. Maybe I'll get one some day just to ride around my block. lol

With that said good luck with it

Yea I have been taking it easy so far only putting power down on the straights where I know the road layouts. Corners is where it can easily go all wrong!!

Had a few cars pull out on me so far as well which is annoying but I find if you expect everybody to do it your usually alright.

It was about £4,700 (private sale). Pretty good I thought, I tried to knock him down but he wouldnt drop by much, in the end he threw in the original exhaust and stuff so it worked out alright.

Doh, I was going to say that. Seriously. That’s a fair weapon for a first bike

i really wanna learn to ride.. always have done.

Dont think id trust myself with a bike though - would be far far to dangerous.

The bike looks stunning.. and saw the exhaust ... bet that sounds special!

Completely agree.

In all seriousness, that bike demands A LOT of respect...as long as you remember that you'll be fine

Stay safe.

One of my favourite bikes. Passed my test in 2007 but couldnt go round getting a bike as everyone in the family is against it.

Looking at it again it does look great. I do like the Gixxers! As others have said it's a pretty tasty first bike!! Everyone goes all negative!! I'm sure you will be fine, and I'm sure your streetwise!

Awesome first bike!
Mine was a Honda CB100N.... with about 20bhp, a useless front disk brake and a back brake that was like a switch. On or off.
I moved to a Kwaka GPZ600R next (nearly killed myself on Mad Sunday at the '96 TT on that ) then a ZXR750J1 which I modded 'a bit'.
Haven't had a bike in 10 years.
God, I miss that rush...

Ride safe, watch out for the 'cagers'!
Especially Volvo's!
