Sorry, unless you personally know me, I don't appreciate stirring any pots. I don't mind some friendly debating but blanket statements to try and stir up shit doesn't fly.

No surprises there, the S isn't a straight line car. There is a lot more to a car than how fast it goes in a straight line, but... with that said, I really wanna go faster in a straight line

One of my friends keeps tossing around the idea of a new GTI. I really wasn't a huge fan of the older ones but the new ones seem to be pretty nice.

I sent my options list on the 335i to my friend at BMW. Hopefully he'll be able to hook up some near invoice pricing for me. I'm so impatient when it comes to waiting on buying a car.

Isnt it possible to get 335i's under invoice now
or is it MSRP im thinking of, oh well I dont know the
difference really? Is invoice like Dealer Price and MSRP like
just manufacterers price and not dealers?

invoice is the price the dealer pays. msrp is the "suggested" markup. usually retail prices are suggested by a manufacturer to maintain a certain price "status" thats why most products have a MAP price, under which an authorized reseller may not publish. that that is an asside..

you can get a car under msrp. there is always an updated invoice pricing pdf thats floating around so you can see what the dealer pays. if you can get it under invoice that usually means dealers have incentives or kickbacks. the discount usually depends on how desperate the dealer is to make a sale and how many cars are left in their allocation

easiest way to get a cheap car is to do european delivery. not only is the msrp a few thousand cheaper, but the invoice is cheaper as well. furthermore ED cars dont go through the dealer allocation so if you find someone who does alot of ED cars, they well get closer to ED invoice than a regular dealer can get close to their invoice price on their lot cars (because there is always another joe who hasnt heard of internet who will pay more than you)

and trust me... ED is an amazing experience : )

another thing to note is that dealers have a separate internet department. i dont know if this holds true but if you email them, they assume you already know the pricing etc so they dont waste time bullshitting you. usually you get their best "take it or leave it" price. when i got mine i emailed every dealer within 500 miles and i also emailed alot of other dealers known to move lots of cars in both california and florida etc. the nice thing about buying a bmw is that you have options. ED gets you cheaper but you have to pick it up at the dealership. with performance center delivery, however, you broaden your options because you always pick up at the performance center in south carolina, regardless of which dealer you ordered.

Yea last summer when we put a E92 328i that was going to be apline white or
space gray I think over saddle (I love saddle) we were going to put it on ED and do that, just my dad and I, but we ended up getting the car I have now used

Next BMW we get in my family or if I ever do in the future get a new one, Im
probably going to be doing ED.

Haha its not like you have that color combo haha

How do you like your VS7's btw? I'm going to be in the market for
new rims soon maybe. Im thinking about some BBS LM's or CH's, or some VS8's.

Im either doing rims or a Full Mtech Kit, I dont know which one to get

i love them. great concavity, very light weight. and not ridicluously expensive like other forged wheels

the shop that mounted the tires even complemented me on the wheels. they said the finish is excellent and wanted to know what company made them

i really think concave wheels look best with the e92, so LM's were out of the question. the CH's dont have a great offset. its either m3 offset which is too big or something else that will need spacers to look good

vs8 looks great, i cant wait to see more pics of them.

I think I might just go with Full Mtech Kit Wheels are 2 hard to
decide on so , but Mtech is the only good looking bodykit or well
best looking IMO

What is the performance center delivery? I was highly contemplating the ED because it knocks 2400 off the price of the coupe and you get the 2 for 1 flight to Germany. So if you are smart you can save money and get a trip to Europe. It seems a lot of people are having good luck getting the car for around $500 over invoice if you shop around and don't let them push you around.

I had BBS LMs on my S, loved them!! Although it seems LMs are a dime a dozen on BMW's so I'm up in th air about what wheels I would want on the E92. If things go right before the year is up I hope to have on order an AW w/ red int. 6 spd, sport, premium, cold weather, m-tech and some smaller misc. bs on there.

PCD doesnt save you much money becuase you pay the US delivery price. however, you do get a tour of the factory and driving lessons in a car similar to yours. i think as of last year, you can do both ED and PCD which would be amazing but it woudl probably take forever to get your car so you cant be in a hurry haha

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte.../Delivery.aspx

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99901

btw bimmerfest, i must say, is a great place to go when looking to buy a new car. they have the best collection of info with regards to this topic

yea i got mine for 1000 over ED invoice... before all the price increases so e92 335i, sport, premium, cold weather, comfort access, and usb for under 42k

as for wheels those new vmr v710 look nice. if i upgrade wheels they better be lighter than stock, however.

Ummm.. is it just me or does these seem really high from a dealer I talked to.

"Euro delivery MSRP is $50,675.00 for the car specs you sent, he also wanted the Aero kit added which is a dealer installed option. The total installed price for the Aero kit is $2,907.67

The Euro delivery MSRP is about $2500 cheaper than the US MSRP."

I think they told me it was made from Angel Tears which was the 3k markup. There was also the platinum unicorn horn option for 5k LOL

I've been using that same pricing sheet to build mine and compare prices to what the dealers are telling me so I'm working up from invoice instead of down from MSRP

So someone egged my hood and roof the past weekend.
I got it off as soon as I possibly could, but the damage was done.

There is a swirl where the egg was and it removed a good bit of paint,
the paint is chipped off, and there are 5 new scratches down the hood.
Also I now have a good sized dent in that spot.

I will post up a picture in here and in the Detailing section, but I think the part
of my hood will have to be painted.
