Hit up grant@detailaddict or cyberkaa. I'm sure everyone could do it themselves but these guys provide a service and I wouldnt want to screw anything up in my car in any case.

Nice. Congrats!

Btw, you have to pull the hood release twice.

It's only one or two steps more on a Mac. I used my MacBook as well, all you have to do is install a parallels virtual machine with a 32bit windows.

There's an entire forum dedicated to coding BMWs, I'll send you a PM with some links you might find helpful if you decide to go this route.

I'll admit, the first time I had my car coded by someone at their house (Casper) was his forum name I believe. But after I got a new head unit installed by the dealer, I lost a lot of my coding functionalities and decided to try it myself.

I'll state once again that the setup and learning curve is fairly steep. But I feel he benefit outweighs that.

I've only heard great things about the guys on the forum offering coding services, go with them if you want to just sit back and watch the pros do it.

Damn, I was hoping I wouldn't have to use Windows. I have XP installed on my now-defunct MacBook and have no plans to install it on my Pro.

hey fellas. I'm heading down from palo alto area to ventura this coming week (midweek, so hopefully traffics light.) Any advice on roads I should hit on the way? I've heard good things about CA state route 33, but given that it's 290 miles I'm not sure where to begin.

I usually just take 101 all the way there. But if you feel daring, I'd say take the 1 the whole time lol
